Welcome to Preston West Division’s page!
Our Division covers a central area of Girlguiding Lancashire North West with the old market town of Preston at its centre. It covers as far west as Lea and Cottom to Middleforth and Penwortham in the South, Tanerton and Ingol in the North with Ashton, Cadley and the city in its centre.

Our Division is spilt into four Districts, each headed up by a District Commissioner and supporting teams. Districts each organise their own District Events in addition to the Division Events.

It often makes sense to be part of your nearest Unit geographically, however the Districts welcome members living in any area so whether you work, live or come to school in the Preston West Division area, we would love to hear from you.

From the youngest Rainbow to the oldest Trefoil Guild member, there is something for everyone…
Girls
Want to join in the fun? Then contact us to send us your details including your date of birth and a contact number and we’ll do our best to find you a place. If you know which Unit you want to go to or which night suits you best then tell us that too!
Young leaders
Aged 16-18 yrs and looking at volunteering within a childcare setting then Girlguiding is a great place to start. We are always on the look out for potential leaders who have enthusiasm and passion to make a difference within the local community. Undertaking your Duke of Edinburgh Award – why not do your service section at your local Unit.
Adults
If you are aged 18+ and looking for a fun way to get involved in your community then we’d like to hear from you. There are lots of girls waiting to join Guiding units in the Preston West area – we can’t increase our numbers until we have the adult leaders to run those units.
If there isn’t a unit near you maybe you would like to start one we would love to discuss this great opportunity with you and of course you will be given full training and support.
Trefoil Guild
Have you ever made your Promise as a Brownie, Guide or Leader? If you have, why not join our Trefoil Guild who provide invaluable support to some of the Divisions Units and events … and have lots of fun too!
Preston West is proud to have a Trefoil Guild. They meet once a month in the evening and enjoy learning new craft skills, receiving speakers and arranging trips and visits in the local area.
