Preston South East Division centres on the South Ribble area of Preston with the town of Leyland at the heart and the surrounding villages of Brindle, Euxton, Eccleston, Whittle, Buckshaw and Hoghton forming the Division.

There are 13 Rainbow Units, 20 Brownie Units, 9 Guide Units and 2 Senior Section Units in the Division. Our members range from 5 to 65 years old and our aim is to help girls and young women to fulfil their full potential and take an active and responsible role in society, through a stimulating and enjoyable programme delivered by trained volunteers assisted by Young Leaders and Unit Helpers. We offer many exciting opportunities for our members including residential events both indoors and under canvas. We are supported in our aims by the Division Trefoil Guild, who are former Guiders and friends of Girlguiding.

We are currently looking ahead to 2012, planning activities to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Preston Guild. District plans include a Jubilee Challenge, with members completing 60 challenges, and a competition for girls to design a commemorative badge.

We are excited about the prospect of opening new Units in Buckshaw Village. We have potential Leaders who are finalising plans and negotiating meeting times and places.

A warm welcome awaits any new members.
