Morecambe Division lies at the top end of Lancashire North West, serving Heysham in the South to Silverdale in the North. The scenery is spectacular with coastline along the western edge of our Division and impressive views across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District Fells. Silverdale sits within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which includes Leighton Moss – an RSPB reserve. Lancaster Canal also runs through Lower Lunesdale District offering pleasant walks.

Our Division is made up of three Districts – Heysham, Morecambe and Lower Lunesdale (covering Slyne with Hest, Bolton le Sands, Carnforth, Nether Kellet, Warton and Silverdale). Along with Units for girls, from Rainbows through to Senior Section, we also have two Trefoil Guild Units. Our Trefoil Guild colleagues like to join us in our Division and District events sharing their skills and knowledge.

Outdoor activities are a very important part of Guiding – including camping and residential holidays. We are very lucky to have Silver Sapling camp site in our Division. It is situated close to Silverdale and can is used for camping or day events. Several Units use the site for evening cook-outs in summer. We are also able to make good use of Guy’s Farm, just south of Lancaster, which provides indoor accommodation, camping facilities and outdoor activities such as abseiling and archery.

Like all Divisions we are always looking to increase our team of adult helpers so that we can continue to provide a wide range of opportunities for the girls in our Units. Come and join us in Morecambe Division and be part of our friendly team.
