Our Division is probably the largest in terms of length and square miles within Lancashire North West.

It starts in Garstang and goes north through Lancaster then up the Lune Valley to the top point which is Arkholme, on the border of Kirkby Lonsdale. The Division is a good mixture of rural villages, market towns and the City of Lancaster.

We have 4 Districts; Garstang Rural, Lune Valley, Upper Lancaster and Lancaster Riverside.

All the different sections of guiding are represented our Division from Rainbows through to the Trefoil Guild. Three Districts have Ranger units which is very unusual and they are all active units. The Division benefits from having two universities based in Lancaster; Lancaster University and the newly formed University of Cumbria. Students from the universities play an important part in the running of units throughout Lancaster; in fact many units would not exist if it were not for students.

The Division has access to two Campsites/activity centres; Silver Sapling at Silverdale and Guy’s Farm at Bay Horse. These provide units with plenty of opportunity for residential events and fun activity days or evenings.

There is a warm guiding welcome for anyone wishing to join our Division.
