On 9th March 2019, Laura McClinton and 5 other Girlguiding members from all over the country had the opportunity to shadow diplomats at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to celebrate International Women’s Day. Laura said:
“It was so interesting learning about their work and the importance of women being represented in the Diplomatic Service. This is just one of the amazing opportunities that are offered to Girlguiding Advocates/British Youth Council/Action for Change members – I would highly recommend anyone aged 14-25 applying to these networks!”
International Women’s Day was also commemorated by the London March where Katie from Chorley Division took part representing Lancashire North West County in the Capital. Well Done Katie!
